QUETTA: Dr. Lauy Shabaneh, Country Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), paid an official visit to the Regional Training Institute (RTI) today, accompanied by Mr. Zafar Ali Buladi, Secretary, Population Welfare Department.

During the visit, the UNFPA delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on the mandate, core functions, and ongoing activities of the Institute. They were also taken on a detailed tour of the RTI premises, including classrooms and training facilities, where they were informed about the academic, professional, and capacity-building programs currently being implemented.
The Principal of the Regional Training Institute expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Shabaneh and Mr. Buladi for the continued logistical and technical support provided by UNFPA. He noted that this support has played a pivotal role in strengthening the operational capacity and effectiveness of the Institute.

Secretary Population Welfare Department, Mr. Zafar Ali Buladi, also conveyed gratitude to the UNFPA Country Representative for the organization’s sustained collaboration with the Department. He reaffirmed the Department’s strong commitment to maintaining and further expanding this partnership in the future, with the aim of enhancing training standards and improving service delivery across the population welfare sector.

The visit underscored the shared commitment of UNFPA and the Population Welfare Department to capacity development and institutional strengthening in support of national population and reproductive health objectives.
